Side by Side: let’s do this together

Hi, I’m Jodi Brown: I’m a psychological therapist, running coach and personal trainer. I’m also a trail and ultra runner with an insatiable appetite for adventure.

I have over 25 years of experience helping people who want to bring about change.

I can work with you in one of two ways:

1. Psychological therapy

2. Run coaching with psychological therapy

Life has inevitable ups and downs. We can’t feel happy all the time (and that’s completely normal) but sometimes, we struggle with low mood, anxiety and unhelpful patterns of behaviour. We might feel stuck, unfulfilled or empty, or that we’re missing on out life because of our mental health. I can help.

I help people who are ready and willing to make changes and deal with (often) difficult issues, in order to improve their own wellbeing and achieve their dreams.

I can work with you online (via video calls and messaging) or face-to-face (in my private clinic in Faringdon, Oxfordshire).

Option 1: Psychological therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological therapy that can help you change your relationship with your thoughts and understand the pattern between the way you think, feel and react.

I also practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): a form of CBT that uses powerful strategies to increase psychological flexibility & overcome struggles whilst helping you commit to values-based actions.

CBT and ACT are effective in helping people with a range of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, addictions, eating disorders and life changes such as relationship breakdown, bereavement and menopause.

Option 2: Run coaching with psychological therapy

Let’s get your running and mental health on track with a bespoke programme to help you achieve your running and wellbeing goals.

Perhaps there’s that ultra marathon that you’ve always dreamt of doing, or a Couch to 5k programme that you never manage to finish? We’ll explore your goals and dreams and we’ll delve deeper into what holds you back.

With a focus on both your body and mind, your tailored running programme will work in synchrony with your therapy to help you learn and practice new ways of responding to unhelpful thoughts and feelings.
