Run coaching + therapy
You love running, or want to love running, but something is holding you back?
Perhaps you struggle to get out the door, even though you’ll enjoy it once you’re out. Or maybe you have a burning ambition to enter that race, or push yourself a bit more to go further…or faster!?
Getting the body run-fit is just part of the challenge. The unhelpful chatter in our mind (often set in childhood and reinforced by negative life experiences) can get in the way of us fulfilling our potential and following our dreams.
I offer a unique combination of run coaching (all the usual things you’d expect from a run coach) alongside psychotherapy using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).


Train your mind & body
I offer a bespoke training package that not only helps you to achieve your goals, but teaches you new ways to respond to your unhelpful (and often limiting) thoughts, self-beliefs, emotions and urges.
Goals are highly personal and not always defined by a pace or a distance. It may be to take part in a Parkrun, a half-marathon, or an ultra marathon. Or, it may be that you want to be able to run happy, enjoy the outdoors, feel more grounded in the here-and-now and free from negative self-talk or anxious thoughts.
What’s included:
Run coaching and therapy is charged on a monthly basis with an initial minimum commitment of 2 months.
All plans include:
– A personalised run training programme (I provide 3 weeks at a time to allow for adjustments to account for progress or changes to your availability such as fatigue, illness, injury, life commitments etc).
–Insights from psychological therapy – I draw on both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build psychological flexibility. I can offer therapy via face-to-face (where convenient) or video call.
– Supporting materials (worksheets, videos, audios) developed specially for my clients, drawing on CBT and ACT principles to enhance your learning and support your coaching and therapy.
–1:1 coaching calls (video) where we talk about your running progress, challenges and goals to help keep you moving forward.
–WhatsApp support from me, within working hours (M-F, 9-5).
-Option to join my WhatsApp community of wonderful run coaching clients to celebrate successes, gain shared experience, ask questions and generally chat about all things running (other topics may arise!).
– Race day prep including kit, nutrition advice & mindset strategies + post-race debriefing
-An athlete account on GoodCoach (coaching app/software) to enable quick & easy sharing of run programmes, delivering training sessions directly to your sports watch (e.g. Garmin, Coros).
